Jamberry Lacquer Review

I am not a nail polish person.  I hate the smell.  I was a nail biter for 33 years (before I found Jamberry), so I hated the taste too.  It always seemed that as soon as I had it on it would start to chip.  So I gave up on polish altogether.

Right now Jamberry is retiring over 100 products.  I just ADORED one of their colors that was disappearing.  I took a chance, and bought it.  Can I just say.....AMAZING!

sorry it's blurry.  My four year old took it.
Very smooth texture.  Even color.  Dries super fast.  Right after I put it on my baby woke up and needed changing.  I changed her expecting my polish to be ruined, but it was still perfect!  Then my four year old son begged (to the point of tears) that I paint his nails too.  So I painted one finger on each hand (he was upset I wouldn't do more, but I knew my husband was going to kill me).  Four year olds just do not sit still!  Immediately he was up and running around, but his nails are still perfect too!

Another good thing about the lacquers are that they are free of the top 5 chemicals found in traditional polishes.  Formaldehyde I have tried to avoid for a while.  Camphor can cause cancer if ingested, so it's not recommended for nail biters AT ALL.  Makes me feel good knowing that this is a better polish to use for my little girl, and it's a great quality.

I didn't want to have just a generic manicure, so I got brave.  I had bought some of the clear Jamberry wraps for a vendor event that I am having next weekend.  I decided to try the clear white mini polka wrap over top.  I really really love it!  So does my husband!  Apparently transparent is going to be very in this year.  I plan to buy a lot more clear wraps since I just won a Valentine's limited edition lacquer set as a reward for reaching a sales goal.

Here is the gift set I earned.  In addition to this lacquer set I have earned $30 in gift cards for product, and $50 in merchandise credits.

The Paper Studio: Clip & Spin Organizer

Since I am journeying into this new business of being a Jamberry Consultant, I have been looking at different ways to display my inventory.  I didn't want to start as a consultant, and have a ton of inventory.  I wanted to base my business mostly off of images and catalogs to sell the product.

Instead that idea has changed.  My launch party was such a success that I am going to end up with a much larger inventory.  So excited about that!

My Jam Mom (consultant that I signed up under) invited me to do some vendor events.  It made me really look into what I need to consider having on hand.  My Jam Mom had this neat little spinning device to show off the inventory.  I asked her what it was.  It is The Paper Studio: Clip and Spin.  Right now it is on sale at Hobby Lobby, but I think it is on sale most of the time.  They usually have it in stock at the stores, but as a one car family I just ordered it online and had it shipped to my house.  It came very quickly.

 Here are the dimensions:

  • 17.5" center column
  • 15" diameter base
  • 10" diameter metal ring on rotating arm
  • 75 swivel clips included
  • handle for easy carrying
I really like it, but it was kind of a bear to put together.  It has super simple instructions, but to get it put together you have to really put your weight into it.  I read that it was a five minute assembly, but that was not the case!

Here you see a picture of some of my inventory on the organizer.  I can't wait until I have more!

I have created an album on Facebook that will have my current inventory.  I will have a lot of the products that are retiring as of February 28, 2015.  Be sure to like me on Facebook!

Doterra Purify: Why it is one of my essentials in the home.

I am the first to admit that this oil is not one of my favorite smelling oils.  However, it has become an essential part of my household routine.  I didn't know how important this was to me until yesterday.

There was an unbelievable disgusting smell in our kitchen.  We thought it was under the sink.  (turns out their was a leak and it rotted)  That wasn't the problem.  It took all day to realize that it was the towel underneath our drying rack.  My wonderful husband forgot that he spilled a bunch of milk on it.

Oh, the smell was awful!!!  Words can't describe it!  I wanted to puke every time I went near the kitchen.

Once we determined the cause of the smell it immediately went through the wash.  I opened the washing machine to switch it to the dryer, and I puked from the smell.

We cloth diaper, so I needed to do laundry if I was to have diapers.  So, I added our diapers and ran a rinse cycle.  Then I ran a delicate cycle with just 5 drops of purify in it.  After that cycle it smelled a little better, but it needed more.  So then I ran our heavy duty cycle with another 5 drops of purify, and a downy ball with vinegar in it.  (our normal diaper cycle is a rinse cycle followed by a delicate cycle.  Then heavy duty cycle)

I was amazed that it corrected the problem!  I thought for sure I was going to have to throw out the towel!  We were worried that the diapers were going to be rank too!  Boy was I relieved.

Here are other ways that I use Purify:

  • a few drops in a spray bottle to disinfect surfaces
  • a few drops in a spray bottle for hand sanitize
  • When a bottle is empty I will fill it with water to keep in my purse as a hand sanitizer
  • I will put it in the diffuser if my kitchen is smelly from cooking
  • I will put a few drops on my toilet paper cardboard.  Whenever the roll moves it will deodorize the air.

Jamberry Nail Wraps and Why I Became a Consultant

I have never been a girl that does anything with my nails.  I have always been a severe nail biter for the past 33 years.  I wouldn't bite them if I had nail polish on, but as soon as a slight chip happened I would be biting at them again!  So I just stopped trying to paint my nails because it would just bring attention to how ugly my hands were.

Then I got pregnant.  I was very sick with hyperemesis, and I barely could get to the bathroom and back.  So showering was out of the question.  I spent over a month in and out of the hospital, and just felt awful all the time.  My sister had a Jamberry party, and I thought what the heck!  I'll try them!  I needed something to make me feel like I had some control of my life, and I needed to look pretty.  So I took advantage of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free.

I became addicted.  Two months later I decided to join Jamberry.  I didn't have high hopes of earning money, but it has exceeded my expectations.  I just wanted to save money on my purchases.  I paid the $99 for my consultant kit, and made my money back in less than a week.  You end up being a walking advertisement when you have the wraps on.  It's fantastic!  Then the parties are so much fun!

I do mostly online parties right now because I have a newborn, but I have made enough money in the past three weeks to buy my family's groceries this month.  It is so easy and fun!

Have you ever tried Jamberry wraps before?  Ask me for a sample!  Let me know what number sample (left) you like, and I will send it to you.  Be sure to message me your address.  Then take the 7 day challenge!  You put the wrap on one finger on each hand.  Then paint your other fingers with your favorite polish.  Take photos on day 1 and day 7 and then post the results!

Here is the consultant kit.  It is $99 and you can host a party to get up to half off!  It comes with 4 wraps, a heater, application kits, catalogs, samples, order forms, cuticle oil, scissors, buffers, orange sticks.  Everything you would possibly need to be successful.  My upline is FANTASTIC!  If you are interested please contact me or go here to learn more or join.  I want you to be as successful as I am!
If you don't want to be a full-fledged consultant there is an option to be a hobbyist instead.  Here are the differences to consider.
Not only does Jamberry have one of the best consultant compensation plans, but we have a fantastic hostess rewards!  Want to host a party?  It's fun!  If you are in Columbus, Ohio I can do in home.  Otherwise I can do it on Facebook.  Go here to host a party.

Right now we are going through a change of catalogs.  As of February 28th, 2015 over 100 products are retiring.  It's a great time to host a party, or join!  I do have an inventory on hand that I list on Facebook.  Some of them will be the retired wraps, so be sure to like my facebook page to see what's new, and check to see if I have your favorite wraps.  Plus stay in touch with my specials.

Lansinoh and Nuk Nursing Pad Review

On Monday, my son turned 4.  I nursed him until he was 10 months old, so I was very used to wearing disposable nursing pads.  At the time I never saw any other brand of reusable nursing pads in the store except for Lansinoh.  I never had any complaints.  They were incredibly soft, and absorbent.
So when my daughter was born 8 weeks ago, my go to nursing pads was Lansinoh.  This time I was extremely disappointed!  They were still very absorbent, but they felt very coarse.  It got to the point where I would have little scratches on my skin from them.

I began looking into reusable nursing pads, but I am terrified that I would leak through them in public, and be embarrassed with wet spots.  I use cloth diapers, so reusable nursing pads shouldn't concern me.  It's just I don't want to fork out the money for them if they don't work.

Last week, I went back to the store to restock my nursing pad supply.  I was so excited because there were three brands to choose from!  I opted to try Nuk nursing pads.
Compared to the Lansinoh nursing pads they feel like heaven!  So soft!  I wanted to share this post for other moms out there looking for the best nursing pads.  I still want to try a reusable nursing pad.  If anyone reading this makes them, I would love to have a sample and do a review for you!  Just contact me, or comment.
